Hey there! I’m Jodie Bentley, an NYU Tisch trained actor and producer who has worked for Netflix, Hulu, ABC, CBS and many more. I’m also the former CEO of The Savvy Actor and Accelerated Artist. For well over a decade, I’ve coached actors to achieve their goals, become organizational masters, stop the self-sabotage, build their marketing tools, land agents and own their brand.
I totally get being frustrated. When I graduated NYU, I had no clue what I was doing when it came to the business side of the biz. My results were fairly good… but random and rare.
I was missing something, but didn’t know what. I was so sick of not knowing exactly what to do that I read every freakin’ business book I could get my hands on.
Then the light bulb moment – I’m a product! I started taking branding principles that worked in the real world and morphed them for our creative profession.
I built my brand authentically, smartly and holistically.
Within 6 months, I got my Actors Equity card, my first theatrical agent, an Off-Broadway show, and I got to do the cast recording with Stephen Schwartz. I finally understood who I was in the industry.

Let’s be real, the attention span of the average individual is 8 seconds. (Incidentally, that’s one second less than a goldfish. Yeah.)
In this unbelievably fast-paced industry, casting directors, agents, and industry folks don’t have all the time in the world to figure out who you are. You must communicate that quickly, efficiently AND distill your message in 8 seconds or less.
Fortunately, that is what building your authentic brand will do. People want to meet you and get you instantly – then they’ll remember you. If you’re hindering that process by being unclear or vague – you’re doing your entire career a disservice.

Module 1
The Theory
Branding is not about putting something on you or telling you what you ‘should’ be. Brand is also not ‘type.’ That’s how most people talk about Branding and it’s not helpful, and also harmful. It’s time to stop putting on the armor and peel away the onion layers.

Module 2
The System
In my signature Branding System, I’ll guide you through 9 lessons on the nitty gritty of HOW to build your brand. Let me tell you, it’s not just about getting adjectives from your acting class. We’ll dive deep to build your brand that is holistic, authentic and relevant with my clear-cut proven system.
You’ll:
Build your Branding Chart which is your unique palette and how you’ll build every marketing tool!
Create your thematic through-line which is the glue that holds your Brand together across genres
Talk and write about your Brand in a way that is clear, clever and effortless
Module 3
The Package
Only when you can name your brand can you sell it. Most actors do it backwards. You craft all your marketing tools BEFORE you know what you sell. Now that you know your product inside and out, it’s time to focus on the first marketing strategy you get to master – packaging.
You’ll:
Implement the rules of Packaging to stand out and get known
Create a logo and font style sheet that feels authentically you and lets people see you at a glance
Build your perfect color scheme that viscerally screams your essence and what you book

Our classes are carried out using Zoom so you need to make sure you computer is Zoom compatible and tested- (Voice-Video). Please make sure you have a good fixed internet connection.
