Natalie has been coaching and teaching privately for over ten years and has been resident voice and acting teacher at many theatre schools in Vancouver including Tarlington Training and VADA. A friendly, positive and professional approach means that her clients are continually working on set and accelerating in the industry. Natalie offers audition coaching, private acting lessons, monologue & scene coaching for theatre as well as accent and dialect training to adults and young actors. Having worked in casting for a number of years she has a unique insight into the audition process and what casting and production are looking for. Natalie loves teaching and giving her clients the tools needed to succeed. Natalie is a bidialectal actor classically trained at The Oxford School of Drama. Originally from England, she is now working and honing her craft in the North American film and television market.
Natalie’s recent works include Space Force starring Steve Carell and John Malkovich and the hit Hallmark Television series Chesapeake Shores in which she plays Peggy Lucas. Some of Natalie’s other works include; Brahms : The Boy II alongside Katie Holmes and O’wain Yeoman, Lifetime’s Harry & Meghan: Becoming Royal, the Netflix hit series Travellers, Mary-Jane Constantine in DC Legends of Tomorrow and the supernatural thriller Death Note. Natalie is also keen and supportive of the Indy film scene and can be seen in many short films including One Day a quirky festival short that she wrote, directed, produced and starred in.
Natalie helps actors find a natural, believable and most importantly effortless accent. Her clients walk on to any set, into any scene or into the audition room fully confident and focusing on their objective not their accent.
Natalie grew up in several parts of England and transitioned through a few different dialects at a very young age. During her extensive training from the world-renowned Oxford School of Drama and Bretton Hall Arts Conservatoire in the UK she was fascinated with the voice, linguistics, phonetics and deconstructing language. Natalie can confidently and naturally perform accents from around the world, originally from England however, she specializes in accents from the United Kingdom.
Natalie has collaborated professionally on many theatre productions in Vancouver including Snowflake by Mike Bartlett, Bull by Mike Bartlett (West London & RP), What We’re Up Against by Theresa Rebeck (Standard American), Easy Virtue by Noel Coward (Heightened RP) as well as multiple film and television production companies such as Apple TV, Paramount, Disney, CBS, Freeform and ABC.
Natalie also has experience in creating new, or merging multiple accents. Whether the character has moved around or production is creating a new world, accents are vital to sell the story. Natalie has booked many roles with multiple accents in stage, screen and video games.
